Python regius - common name Royal or Ball Python (1.5m) Python reticulatus - common name Reticulated or Regal Python (10.7m) So the longest snake should have been listed as Reticulated (regal) python (Python reticulatus). Don't know if it had been corrected in subsequent editions but thought I'd take the time and write in!
